Meet Jenna

Graphic and Web Designer

Jenna joined the Shapes & Colors team in September 2025 as a Junior Designer. Her career began three years ago as a UX Design intern while studying graphic design at Virginia Commonwealth University. She loved the mix of creativity, problem-solving, and the human-first approach aspect of design thinking. Every day in this career is different, and the variety is something Jenna values.

A Willingness to Learn Creates Opportunities

The biggest success in Jenna’s career so far was becoming self-taught in front-end web development, specifically ReactJS, which she utilized in building and maintaining seamless web applications in her previous role. Having the discipline to learn a complex technical skill opened many doors for her in the scale of projects she took on within marketing.

Seeing Jenna’s background and experience in both print and web projects made her an ideal fit as the newest employee at Shapes & Colors. In the last few months she has designed logos for a podcast and environmental company, digital invitations, graphics for social media, booklets for print, WordPress web page designs and custom-illustrated graphics. She is eager to take on new challenges and enjoys the variety of aesthetic styles we work within for our range of clients.

Jenna’s Background

In 2023, Jenna graduated from VCUarts with a BFA in Graphic Design. Throughout her studies, she completed internship opportunities in UX Design and Graphic Design, which included Front-End Web Development. After graduation, Jenna began working full-time in marketing for a globally recognized medical device brand, specializing in providing high-quality Graphic Design and Front-End Web Development solutions to support growth initiatives.

What Clients Can Expect

Clients who work with Jenna in her role at Shapes & Colors can expect bold designs that boost brand awareness, a human-first approach to marketing that resonates with target audiences, and a collaborative relationship where she assists in turning YOUR ideas into reality!

In her free time, she enjoys playing volleyball at Richmond Volleyball Club (RVC), crocheting, and going on adventures with her dog, Poncho.
