2023 Client Appreciation Event

Earlier this spring, Shapes & Colors partnered with our friends from Blue Skies Eco-Scaping to celebrate our clients together. We hosted an appreciation event at Gather with the help of some exciting local businesses. We sipped spirits with 2 Brown Girls & Bourbon, a duo who offers bourbon tastings. DOH! bakery and breads brought decadent breads and artisanal pastries for us all to enjoy. We sampled Italian wines from Caffespresso and learned more about their wine club. Clients connected with Prudence Justis, a local real estate professional who serves Richmond and surrounding counties.

The value of hosting client appreciation events

We considered our client appreciation event an important way to show gratitude and recognition to our clients. By hosting an event specifically for clients, we were able to spend some quality time outside of a working deadline to strengthen our relationships with them. We partnered with another local business to share connections between our shared communities and even met some pretty great prospects in the process.

Important elements we considered

  1. Building relationships: our client appreciation event provided an opportunity for our team to get to know our clients on a more personal level. We hope this will lead to stronger relationships, and create a sense of anticipation for our next event.
  2. Enhance customer loyalty: By showing our clients that they are valued, we hope foster a sense of trust and loyalty. We hope spending some quality time with our team will help clients think of us the next time they have a graphic design or website need, and they’ll more readily share referrals of their business friends who might need the same.
  3. Practicing our brand image: We were able to exercise some event branding design skills while working on the event signage and graphic design. We worked on a connection question Bingo card to help facilitate conversations between our guests.
  4. Generating new business: Our client appreciation event gave us an opportunity to meet other vendors and clients. We met friends, family, and colleagues who had never worked with us before. We hope that the seeds planted in this fun event will lead to new opportunities to serve clients in the future.
